The Urban Studies Centre offers CPD (inset) training sessions to school staff teams on using your local area and outdoor space for teaching and learning. Curriculum areas we cover include Geography, History, Science and Citizenship and for Key stage 1, Literacy and Numeracy.
We can tailor a CPD session for your school’s own requirements, depending on where you are located, so contact us to discuss how we could help your school make better use of the local environment.
£300 for a 2 hour twilight session in ‘Using your Local Area for Learning’ for a staff team.

History and Geography Coodinators Best Practice Network Meeting
Hammersmith and Fulham Urban Studies Centre facilitates the Tri-Borough Geography and History Coordinators Network Meeting. The meetings are held once a term here at the Lilla Huset or other local venue. The meetings offer a chance for subject corordinators to discuss achievements and challenges in their role, share best practice, support one another and learn about new developments in Geography and History coordination in primary schools.
